Wondering if I should purchase this vase

Hi Peter, I am thinking of buying this vase but am not sure about marking. It looks like a rubber stamp and I think it should be written for period marked . Trying to learn so would appreciate your advice, thank you .john

Hi John, depends on what you expect from it.
Nice vase for decoration, but not for an antique collection.
Consider the Qianlong mark as being added for decoration only. Traditional Chinese decorations don't look like this. It is probably pretty new.
