Any idea on age or value? I have spent quite a bit of time googling and cannot find anything that looks like this at all. Thank you!

opening on the bottom

I was told it was by someone who saw one similar on the antique road show. There is an opening on the bottom, similar in style to the chinese wine pots or lady cadogan pots. I have been looking online for a couple of years hoping to see one with the same shape but haven't yet. There are no markings on the bottom at all, just the opening to pour in the liquid.

What would be the basis of it being 'new'? And Japanese vs Chinese? This is very fascinating!


Cannot see any signs of age as an old one should show. Here, "new" means recently made (including) a few years old. Can you see any?
The design gives the impression of being Japanese, but not 100% sure if it is. The handle looks also more Japanese than Chinese to me.
Why do you think it is wine pot? Is there any larger opening to pour wine in?
