Who recognizes the mark on this beautiful baluster vase?

by Rutger Heule
(The Hague, The Netherlands)

I've got here a beautifull baluster vase, high 47 cm with a chicken, chicks and palmtrees (see pictures). At the bottom of the vase there is also a mark, but I don't regonize this mark. I'm not a specialist, so I hope somebody can help me.

I hope to hear from you.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Rutger Heule

Hi,
This mark looks to be a combination of first part of Xuāndé 宣德 and second part of Chénghuà 成化. It spans about 60 years and 5 emeperors! I guess the style is meant to imitate the style of that period.

Hello,
What you have seems to be a 20th century item, probably on the later side.
The shape and colors are imitating late 19th/early 20th century vases. However the painting style is a more recent style, and the reign mark uses a non-existent reign name.
