Thanks Peter. I didnt take impression this is the way it looks on the bottom of the piece. A glob of clay with mark. Any idea where to look for a seal expert:)


Unfortunately not. If I knew one many mark problems would be easier to solve... :-)

Nancy, good idea to take an impression... Is this gypsum?
The mark is clearly visible now, but I'm afraid that I still cannot help. Cannot read the character. I have shown this to a Chinese, but she also cannot read it. Please be aware that seal type characters are difficult to ready, except by those working with seals, perhaps. This looks like one of those fancy/creative seals used by some artists. I'm afraid a seal specialist might be needed for this - or somebody who happens to know this specific seal.
