Hi Stan,
I mentioned that I need larger pictures in the comments, also how you can provide them.
I've been wondering whether you were not interested in this anymore...

Hi Stan,
I would need a full picture each of the whole top and underside of the item, and if possible one of the foot area only. Width should be approx. 800 pixels. The current two detail pictures are fine.

The pictures after cleaning have me worried somewhat. The crackling seems too regular. Also, the cleaning you describe was a bit too easy. After a long time the dirt sometimes just doesn't want to come off even when soaking and brushing is repeated many times.. The cleaning method I suggested is a mild one, but sometimes it is ineffective because the dirt is almost "baked" unto the surface.
Best would be if the reddish matter was soil, because it was excavated. If it is not, it could have been added intentionally. Let's see what the mentioned forum says.
