two antique metal vases on jade base

PLEASE HELP ME TO IDENTIFY TWO ANTIQUE METAL VASES ON JADE BASE. VASES ARE 12" TALL, SQUARE 4x4 INCH JADE BASES ARE 5" TALL. TOTAL VASE + BASE APPROX 17" TALL.

It is unlikely that the base is jade. To me this looks as if it were pale green alabaster. This is all western.
