Tea Tray origins?

by Linda Montabone

Front

Front

Tea Tray with poem or other saying written on the front, with a mountain view.
Who made it, when , what might be the value.
I've owned this for almost 40 years and always wondered what it says on the front. dimensions 9 x11 inches, 926 grams weight.
Thanks

Thanks for your comments Peter. I thought it might be Yixing , Song dynasty ?
I could up load a better picture of the writing and of the back. The whole piece is very well made, not like the lumpy pots full of sand specks.
Is there another web site where I could get a further evaluation for this piece?
Thanks
Linda

Blue and white did not yet exist in the Song dynasty, as far as is known. This would have been blue on a white glaze, not underglaze blue. I think this is 20th century. You will have to look for a valuer, but the price of the item may not be worthwhile. Let us first see if there is a cyclical date or something on it.

Hello,
This looks as if it were glazed pottery, not porcelain. Whether or not it could be Yixng pottery I cannot tell from these pictures. The potter's mark is not known by me. An enlarged version of the text would be necessary to check if it contains any further information, however, frequently it is just poetry and the like.
