story telling tea set

I keep a tea set and I am curious to know the tory illustrated on the dishes.
I presume it is a Meiji period export model.
I join pictures of the dishes arranged in an order that seemed logical to me, probably not the right one.
Is somebody able to put this story in words?
To what facts does it reffers in Japanese history or litterature?
