Small Vase

I have a small vase measuring 4 1/2 " high. Could

you provide any information about it ? One picture

of the bottom is with flash the other without.

Hi Kurt,
I'm afraid I cannot help much with this. The glaze is what is called Haishu glaze in Chinese (but the term seems to originate in Japan). I do not know the English name of this glaze, or if there is any.

The neck is a little bit longer than a traditional Chinese shape would be, but could still be Chinese. Unfortunately, the unglazed bottom was covered by a dark brown layer and it is impossible to see the details of the foot. Would need hands-on inspection to evaluate what or from when it could be.
