schumann bavaria china

i have an incomplete set of schumann bavaria, empress dresden flowers, china. a couple of the pieces have all the marks & numbers but something looks like it is erased? or whited out? across the top of the crown. are these "seconds" (imperfect pieces) or imitations? i hope someone can enlighten me as i would like to start filling in the odd missing pieces & want to educate myself further so i know what i am looking for. this is pricey china. thanks in advance, ann
