Qing porcelain ginger jar approximately 160 years old

7.5" wide x 8" high Qing porcelain ginger jar. Approximately 160 years old. Artwork: calligraphy, bird, dark pink peonies. Estimated value $300 - $500. Late Qing dynasty, mid 19th century. Would you please give me your comments, estimated value.

We don't talk about values here. Please read "Value of Antiques" in the left menu.

This jar cannot be 160 years old because this is from the Qianjiang style of painting, later period, that came into use only in the late 19th/early 20th century. Judging from its condition, this item would be from the first quarter of the 20th century. The lid seems to be a wooden replacement lid.
