I recently aquired this Porcelain Crackle Glaze Snuff Bottle, I am interested to know more about the Marking on the Base.

Please could anyone give any further informatuon about the Bottle and its Mark.

Hi David,
You should read about the relevancy of marks regarding age or maker identification. You will find some information under "Marks".

The mark shown is "Wan Yu" (=Playing with Jade), a mark that has been used throughout the Qing dynasty. You cannot decide from the mark when an item was made. It also appears on copies.

hello I,m david from philadelphia I have a crackle under glaze snuff bottle too, the characters
on footer rim look the same,did you ever find out
who the chracacters were,the colors and the patterns look somewhat alike too,I'm having problems uploading pictures to the site,I will get
around to it some day.

From the bottom and crackling, mark, etc., this one could be late Qing dynasty.
I wonder if you could show larger pictures of the front and back sides, to verify this?
