Oriental Trinket Box

Hello Peter, you were able to help us a couple of months ago identify a Chinese porcelain brush pot so we were hoping you could help again. This time we have an oriental trinket box that we are having a hard time identifying. It is a nice little two piece set (base with lid). It has an orange flower on the top of the lid with orange flowers on the base ends with a checker pattern. The box lid and base are trimmed in a dark blue. The mark on the bottom is a 4 symbol mark. I looked at your website and found at least one of the marks but was unable to get any further.

I'm afraid this is pretty new.
The shape is not a traditional Chinese shape.
The mark is a spurious Qianlong mark. It was never drawn that way on period items, and hardly ever in red.

The white glaze is too white for anything antique. Usually, the white glaze is not pure white, but some off-white color on old items.

I'm not sure if the decoration is printed or painted. In some places the outlines have white spots or are broken. Hand-painted strokes are never drawn intermittently. You should be able to verify this with a magnifier.
This is not antique or vintage item, in my view.
