Many porcelain laughing Buddhas I've seen don't carry a stamp...this one has at the bottom. If I am not wrong it's probably from Japanese Origin (Peter please give your opinion. Thanks.)

This is Chinese. As the mark says, it was made by Mao Ji Sheng, in Jiangxi. This is a known manufacturer of the early republic period. As far as I known they were specialized on human figurines like this one.
