Ming Plate

I have a couple of Ming plates and would like to get your opinion on them. Both appear to be from the Cheng Hua period. I am showing the round one here and will add the other in another post.

I am wondering about the motif, which consists of swords and fans. Seems a strange combination, but from other readings it may mean it has to do with the military. The glaze is incomplete in some places. I have included a close-up of the redish rim. There are also a couple of flaws in the glaze and a crack in the rim.

Is it genuine?

Hi,
Your plate is not from Ming period. The style and quality can not be Chenghua.

I can't see any swords, but two different types of fans. I assume you take the item in the white area between the folding fans to be a sword?
To my knowledge this is an old type of leaf fan, which is held on the opposite side of what you presumably take to be the sword grip.

This is a typical Japanese plate. The Japanese frequently copied the Ming Chenghua mark.

Addition:
The fan between the folding fans is a war or signalling fan used in Japan to direct warriors in battle.
