"Kangxi" Ginger Jars follow up

by Alison Absalom

Hi Peter,

Thank you for you recent comments on my pair of "Kangxi" marked Ginger jars. I hope these new photos are of better resolution and here is also a link to photobucket s1162.photobucket.com/albums/q529/aliabs50/

(I hope this link works as this is the first time I have done this, however I do know that the pictures are definitely in my album on photobucket)

As you suggested there are some closeups of the collar of the jar which show that the glazing does include the collar, and as you may see on the closeup of one of the lids, the glazing stops about 4mm from the bottom of the lid. As you also requested there are closeups of the "Kangxi" marks and of the glazing generally. If as you suggested previously that these jars are likely to be "late Qing Dynasty" do these further pictures indicate a more precise period or date. Again many thanks for your assistance via this superb site.
