I would like to add to my previous comment.
Martaban jars apparently are called that way because they were shipped from Martaban, in Burma. Originally, the jars were made in China and transported over land to that port, but later other sources exported from there may also have been called Martaban jars.
If you do an image search for 'Martaban Jar' with Google you will find similar items.

You should know these better than me, I think. Here we don't find any, but this type is spread all over SE Asia, Indonesia, etc., as far as I know.
Looks like a Martaban jar to me.
