Hi, the pictures are too small to see details. Are there eight people with one being a woman? If so, then it is likely depicting the eight immortals. You will find information on them via search engines.
Basically, this gives the impression that it is new.
Depending on the carving style, this could also have been in Vietnam or elsewhere. They do a lot of carvings showing Chinese subjects.
