I came across this beautiful ginger jar. I'm quite curious about the period, if the jar is handpainted and is there anybody around who knows something about the mark.

Hello,
This is a modern copy, in my view. Possibly not made in China. At least, the writer of the mark apparently had no basic knowledge how to write Chinese characters.
