Thanks for that, I had thought it may be japanese or korean and had little idea the mark was upside down. have you any idea of the age this may be? I will also research the kiln where it was made.

Japanese Fuku Mark

The mark on the underside (which you have shown upside down) is
"fuku" and points to a Japanese origin. The ware was most likely made at the Arita kilns.

Perhaps Japanese, but not Chinese, in my view.
