Hi peter. i did a little home work. i read there has been concern about the amount of toxic lead being used in ceramics from china may be this is why they have put a warning on the bottom ?. the bowl is rather beautiful in colour with lots of gold to out line the pattern the rim is also gold. looking at the mark on the bottom it looks like it could be a bat ? with a number 2 next to it. hope the pics help you. thank you jacqueline.
