Funerary Vase

Here is another item I have inherited from my in-laws. I think it may be a funerary vase. It was purchased in Hong Kong in the 1950s and came with it's own custom-made wooden box.

Hello,
Yes, this is burial ware. Most I know don't have glaze on the bottom. Otherwise it looks normal. If it is authentic it is probably from about the Song dynasty.
Wooden box? Was it purchased in Japan. There they have the habit of making wooden boxes for ceramic items.
