Famille Rose? Very large vase.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this vase? My initial thoughts are that it is modern for the export market but I can't identify the mark.

The motif is Chinese, but the decorations along the foot and on the neck do not look Chinese. In addition, the single character on the bottom is illegible, as if the writer did not know how to write the brush strokes.
The writing on the side is too small to see, but it might provide more hints...perhaps.

Anyway, the vase looks pretty new. I wonder if it could be printed. If it is, this might mean it was probably not made in China, which in turn would explain why the bottom character is illegible, and the neck decoration not Chinese.
