Dragon bowl

by Ryan
(Thailand)

Hello Peter. This bowl is part of the group I purchased today. It stands out as a little different than the others in that it is a little heavier and has different colors. I am unsure of its age. The bowl is The dragon appears to be painted well but maybe the bowl sat in the sea for too long to cloud up the glaze's clarity. What do you think about this one?

Thanks again..
Ryan

Either late Ming or Qing dynasty. Very roughly made, if I may say so, especially the bottom markings are crude. The foot rim should be different from those of the other bowls, because it appears to be from Dehua kiln. Looks like a shipwreck item.
The marking on the bottom gives the impression of Ming, but not completely sure.
