Chinese water jug identification

Hello. Was wondering your thoughts on the age of this jug. its very large and probably weighs about 35-40 pounds. Thank you again

This is a porcelain copy of a Japanese sake barrel. With that I do not mean it is a fake, they were or are in actual use. This one may originally actually have contained the liquor. This one has even "trade mark" mentioned on the top.
You should be able to find similar items on the net. Just do a Google image search for "sake barrel". The hole in the bottom may have been added later.
