This set has been in my family for generations, not sure how old, can you please help me identify it?

Hi, this is Japanese.
I cannot read the mark proper and do not know much about Japanese wares.
The three characters above the mark say "Dainippon", which means Great Japan. That term has been used during the first half of the twentieth century (don't know beginning from when, though).
