Hi Stan,
I'm afraid you are mistaken with this. This is Japanese.
The attire of the people is clearly Kimono, but the buildings also give the impression of Japan.

Due to the fancy writing style I cannot read the second character of the mark for sure. It could be read "se" or "guchi". The first is Naga...thus the mark means Made by Naga???. Nagaguchi is a common Japanese name, so that would make it quite likely, but the strokes are abbreviated from three to two, which is not the regular way of writing this character.
