Chinese Cup

by Michael L
(Michigan, USA )

I originally thought this was Japanese I mistaken the woman for Geisha. In my research I ran into a Chinese character that was the same as on the cup, so now I'm assuming it's Chinese. From my 2 days of studying Chinese marks on the internet I think I figured out it says "da nian Chongzhen zhi" Chongzhen appears to be a emperor from the 1600's but as far as this is concerned I have no clue of age, I was thinking it was a copy done some time in the early 1900's but unclear. Any help sure would be appreciated beings I hit a wall in my research.
