Hi Peter, what does the characters mean? This bowl supposedly cam from my great grandmother. Is there anything else you need me to upload so that you can take a closer look at? Thank you.


It reads "Nei Fu" (inner residence or inner government, palace, etc. depending on the circumstances). Not all items with this mark were for official/palace use. We find it on private kiln items also.
You can send a close-up image of one of the immortals. Very close, so that minute details are visible. Also a shot of the foot rim (can be partial)...

The plate/bowl shows the eight immortals as decoration. A green mark? Definitely not old. Chinese porcelain never had green marks.
The shape looks more like a modern item; the picture is too small to see details of the decoration clearly, but the general impression is that it is a modern item, possibly printed.
