ceramic mug

I have a ceramic mug that was found in the 1970's in the waters surrounding the fortress of Louisbourg in Nova Scotia. It is broken, but the pattern is very visible. Can you tell me how I can find out the age of this mug?

I'm afraid I cannot help as this is not a Chinese pattern.
In my view this could be European, Japanese, or perhaps even Middle Eastern, but not Chinese.
