This vase is fairly large, like 16 inches tall. And it looks like it is signed by an artist santo. No other markes at all

Hello,
Not much to say with a single picture.
The shape of this jar is somewhat off the traditional shape of Chinese temple jars.
The writing isn't very clear either, but from this picture it looks as if there is a problem with the writing too. The writing looks as if there are either Japanese characters or wrongly written Chinese characters. Overall impression is as if the writer of the characters was not familiar with the language. This cannot be called calligraphy.

A better picture of the writing and one of the bottom might allow to verify this.
