Budai monk

I have a Budai Monk statue almost identical to the one you have pictured - the only difference is that it is the mirror image of the one you have shown on this site. I inherited it from my late aunt, I can remember it being in the family home for all of my life. (60 plus years). I am wondering whether I should consider selling it but would like to know a bit more about it before I do. I have absolutely no idea of its value

Without a clear picture of the bottom it is impossible to tell this item`s age.
Budai figurines are still plenty and new ones are still being made. Could be vintage or early republic at the most.

Sorry folks, you may have to get at a very peculiar angle to view him...

Thanks for the additional pictures.
By the look of the bottom I would think this is sometime second or third quarter of 20th century. Cannot give a more exact time, but the red number seems to point to a factory produced item. These are usually a bit later.
I would think vintage, not antique. It is always difficult to date such items more exactly due to the large numbers of variations being produced over time in the 20th century.
