Unknown Asian miniature hand painted pitcher

by Janet P
(Florida)

Mystery mini pitcher

Mystery mini pitcher

This tiny Asian pitcher was found in my grandmother's cedar chest many many years ago. I've never been able to identify it or its value. Its approx. 4 inches high with hand painted scene .. on the bottom there is "something" in black that appears to have the letters "EIN" as the last letters in the word (but I could be wrong) as its VERY hard to tell. Just wondering what it is?

Hi Janet,
You could upload a picture of the bottom (mark), to see if I can recognize it.

This item is modern. My guess is that it could be Japanese export to the west, or that it is possibly European using an Asian painting style for decoration.

The shape makes it impossible that it is antique Asian, in my view.
