red jar

Hello,
I'm afraid we can't help you much with this jar. It does not look like Chinese jars. Could it be from Southeast Asia?
It is recommended that you post to the forum at asianart.com. They may have people knowing crafts in several parts of Asia, not only China.
Please try them. They might be able to help.

The bright red color is very unlikely on a Chinese jar, but what really doesn't seem to be Chinese is the shape of the rim of the jar. Where I live all large jars I have seen have a straight vertical neck which benefits the placement of a lid.
