Wondering the age on this bowl, but any additional information definitely welcome.
e.g. What is it that makes one piece of Imari ware more valuable/desirable than another piece, other than pure age, I guess. Thank You in advance for overlooking my ignorance!

Hello,
I cannot tell you much about its collecting value or age, as I am not familiar with Japanese porcelain.

But generally said, with antiques the perceived value comes from quality of work, intricate decoration, condition, etc., plus rarity. That is the reason age is usually mentioned. But, actually a "younger" antique can have more perceived value than an "older" one depending on the above factors.
