hey, i have a bowl from porcelain chinese with mark

(chiang mai, thailand)

and i was wondering what dynasty it is?
and how can i know if this is a copy or an original one?
i've been told its from jianqing period.

The way the qilin in the central medallion is painted is strange. It looks plump and very unlike the ones on Ming plates.
The double ring of the mark is way off, and the lines are flowing sideways, as if the blue color was absorbed by the material. This is never seen in genuine items. Therefore, a hands-on inspection would be recommened to check the cause of this.

i dont think is ming dynasty

its qing dynasty,
jianqing emporer between 1796-1820 AD
this is the emporer i've been told it is from, by an expirienced collector.

Hello,
The mark says it is Jiajing, but I doubt that this is a real Ming dynasty item. I would ask an experienced collector for a hands on inspection.
