blue & grey old Asian teacups

blue and grey teacups

blue and grey teacups

I have been searching everywhere to find out information on these teacups. I have 5 of the brown and tan and 2 of the blue and grey. I would appreciate any information you might know of them. They look like the sort peasants would use, but look old. The clay is coarse. They are unmarked.

thanks for any info.

Kathy,

Without close-up pictures it is difficult to tell what it could be. From these pictures it seems, however that:
- it could be transferware, not hand painted
- could have some age, but without pictures of bottom and inside difficult to tell
- it is impossible to tell if it is Chinese, Japanese, or chinoiserie
