Blue and White Ginger Jar

by Ben
(Cambridge, MA)

I got this for a very reasonable price at a yard sale, so I doubt it's worth anything. It does look old though, so I thought I'd post some pictures and see what everyone thinks.

The bottom has two empty rings--not sure if it means anything as far as marks go. Also, the shade of gray is awfully grayish ... which is weird. Shouldn't real Chinese blue and white be a purer shade of blue?

Hello,
This could be a Qing dynasty jar.
