The majority of animal or bird figurines made in Jingdezhen were made in the late Qing dynasty and first half of the 20th century.

When collecting these, look for signs of mould manufacturing. These are usually later made and less valuable, from mass production.
With the older, handmade ones you will usually find many finger imprints in the interior.

Thankyou guys. regardless of age I purchased this because I liked it as a breeder and keeper of parrots this appealed to me and my collecting nature.

I agree with Peter. The quality of this figure is too poor to be earlier than late 19th century.
