Could this be a Kangxi Imperial household piece?

by Barry
(UK)

Hi Peter, I have this fine vase decorated so well with Foo Dogs among clouds. There is a join line around the middle the potting is quite heavy compared to a 19C vase of the same size. The blue and white ground together with what I feel is superb quality makes me think Kangxi. There is a 4 character mark which I have been informed may be an Imperial Kangxi houshold mark. I would be interested to hear another expert opinion.
Many thanks Barry

Hi Barry,
The quality of imperial wares is quite higher than this. They are almost only found at auctions and in museums.
This is a typical blue and white export vase made for Europe.
This type of apocryphal Kangxi mark was widely used on late Qing dynasty export wares.
