Wrong chinese character

by Nicole

If one of the chinese characters of the mark is wrongly written, does it mean it is a fake antique?
Thanks
Nicole

Marks with wrong characters happen, but are quite rare.
Authenticity is never judged by the mark - with Chinese porcelain. Marks were copied since ancient times until today. Only an overall evaluation can tell if an item is genuine.

Please read "This cannot be emphasized enough:" on the marks page.
