What do these vases say?

by Freda
(London)

I have had these two vases knocking about for a few years having bought them at a charity event, I wondered whether you'd be able to tell me what the inscription is on the back, (or anything else about them which may be of interest) I've been led to believe it's some kind of good luck message but nothing definite. The main decoration to each seems to be hand painted with transfers top and bottom.
I don't think they're that old, maybe 'vintage' would describe them better than 'antique', but I know so very little.
As you can see they are both drilled through at the base for no real reason that I can see, you couldn't turn them upside down as lamps because of the decoration, am I right?
Each measure approximately 26cm in height.

Thank you

Thank you Peter, they are indeed partially printed by transfer to the top and bottom, but I didn't realise they were that recent. I'm very much obliged for the translation, and for your time.

The text has little meaning outside the context of Chinese culture. Literally it says "flowers bloom, well-to-do", an auspicious combination frequently appearing in crafts, etc.
Look as if it were new, possibly not even 20th century. It seems to be wither wholly or partially printed.
