Vase from the early 1900's

by gina
(california)

Hello,
I don't have a picture of the vase because it is overseas. However my grandpa told us before he died that the vase if from his father in the early 1900's like 1902. We found a made in china mark on it. Upon finding this we think it is not worth much. Please give me your opinion. Does it mean because it says made in china it is not antique and not worth much? Please advise. Thank you.

Hello,
Pictures are a must to clarify an items possible age and possible value. Without it is impossible to tell you anything.
However, it cannot be from 1902 because "Made in China" was not used before about 1920, and for export porcelain only.
