seal and markings
by: peter

It is difficult to tell what is what without proper colors. For example, it might be possible if the wax seal is fake from the color tone. But, for this type of item nobody would bother to make a fake one. This is a very common dish of about mid-Qing dynasty, mark unreadable. The ownership marking is the character for "become". Wax seals are not connected to the item itself, they tell customs that an item may be exported.
