European vase
by: peter

Hello,
This vase looks 100% European to me. Although it may appear like an oriental character, the symbol near the rim could be anything.

As European porcelain can be identified from its mark, I would first try to look through online mark collections of European makers to see if you can find it. But first make sure if it is under the glaze. If it can easily be scratched off with an eraser or something similar, it may be a felt pen marking from a previous owner.
