Tang dynasty black ware??

Hi there.

I recently acquired this piece and was wondering if it was even of Chinese origin. It does remind me or Tang wares. The glaze is thick and has many tiny metallic flecks in the glaze. Any thoughts? thanks

Hi, I cannot help much with this. Black jars were made over a long period of time in various areas of China. There are even vintage jars shaped in a similar way like this.

Maybe a visitor more specialized on this type may help.
