Tall Chinese Vase with Mark

by 007

This Vase is around13 -14 inches tall. It is a deep rose color with a very fine painting. It was bought in China in the late 80's. I probably paid quite a bit for it...1000+ and wonder if it is a good piece?

Hello,
The pictures are too small. The only that can be said from these is that it has a Qianlong mark.
Without a number of closeup pictures (partial) of the decoration (birds, painting and text), bottom, foot area, mark, rim and top rim, inside of neck, etc. it is difficult to say more.
I would suggest that you upload high resolution pictures to Photobucket, Flickr or a similar site and post the link.

Is the amount mentioned USD? If it is, then you possibly paid more than necessary. At that time the prices weren't that high yet, in China.
