Set of 3 White and Blue Snuff Bottles. Need Translation of Marks and Date of manufacture Please

The Marks

The Marks

Hi there,

I recently acquired these 3 snuff bottles and am wondering if someone can translate the symbols that are found on the bases. I am hoping that will lead to figuring out when each one of them was made.

I will attach a couple of photos showing the marks and the bottles in the hopes that someone on this forum will be able to translate and maybe even tell me when they were made. These items are still on their way to me so these are the only photos I have. If the pic of the bases is not large enough I will upload better when the items arrive.

Cheers,

Hunter

Thank-you Peter, much appreciated.

From left to right:
Daoguang Nianzhi (made in Daoguang period)
Wan Yu (means: playing with Jade)
Guangxu Nianzhi (made in Guangxu period)

Of course, as these snuff bottles seem to be printed, the marks are all spurious and for decoration only. In China transfer printing was not used until much later, in the 20th century.

Hello,
The pictures are a bit small.
I'm afraid what you have is fairly new. The whiteness of the glaze and the fact that they seem to be printed, not hand-painted, means they were recently made.

I can only read the mark in the middle, which is "WanYu", as they are too small, but the marks on Chinese ceramics are mostly for decoration only. They have nothing to do with the manufacturer.

You can also consult another forum. Can't tell the web address right away, but there is an international snuff bottles forum somewhere.
