what is conveyed in this original art piece.

The language is Chinese, but the picture is too small to tell what it says. If you could take a couple of close-ups with clear shots of the writing, I will attemtp to give it a go.

This painting appears to be by a Ching dynasty artist by the name of Jin Nung. He signed his paintings under various names, though. This one is signed as Ji Liu Shan Min. He is a very well known artist of the period.

The words describe the style of the painting which is based on the work of another artist named Yang Bu Zhi, who was a student of the monk Hua Guang. Hua Guang was from the Sung dynasty and was famous for his paintings of the plum blossom. This painting says that the strokes should be thin and light like the legs of the crane.

I looked up these artists and found that there are many examples of the work by Ji Liu Shan Min. The style of the art and the caligraphy is consistent with those I saw, but I cannot comment on authenticity or value as I am not qualified for this.
