Possible antique coffeepot?

by Amy
(North Carolina)

I researched online and found that items with "Made in China" could still be antiques. I was wondering if it is possible that this is?

I also wondered if the writing on the spout is a family designation or a signature?

Also, would this be considered a teapot or coffeepot? It is approximately 8 inches tall to the naked eye.

Thank you,
Amy

newer teapot

Hi Amy,

This pot looks kind of new to me. The painting motif and style are not classical. Even though it's a teapot, there's no reason you can't hold coffee with it:)
